Frequently Asked Questions
High bay applications generally start at 15-foot ceiling height. For 15–25 foot ceilings, 100–150W UFO high bays are typical. For 25–40 foot ceilings, 200–240W or linear high bays cover the spread better. Below 15 feet, low bay or linear strips usually make more sense.
4000K (neutral white) is the default for offices, retail, classrooms, and spaces where feel matters. 5000K (cool daylight) is best for warehouses, manufacturing, and garages where visual clarity and alertness are the priority. Selectable CCT fixtures let you decide at installation, not at order time.
Yes, in most cases. The fixture is replaced, not just the bulb. Modern LED replacements match or exceed legacy lumen output at 25–40% of the wattage. Remove or bypass the original ballast. Most LED drivers run on line voltage directly.
DLC (DesignLights Consortium) is an independent organization that certifies LED commercial and industrial fixtures on efficiency and performance criteria. DLC listing is the qualifying credential for most utility rebate programs. Without it, you're typically not eligible for prescriptive rebates on commercial retrofits.
Most commercial fixtures on our site support 0–10V dimming. Many also support DALI or TRIAC. Check the product page spec for dimming compatibility before ordering. Confirm the dimmer you're using is rated for LED drivers.
IP20 for typical indoor dry locations like offices and warehouses. IP65 for loading docks, wash bays, and food prep with washdown exposure. IP66 for car washes and direct water exposure. IP67 for the most demanding wet environments.
Send us the fixture schedule or product spec. Our team identifies comparable in-catalog alternatives, often with cost savings versus the originally specified product. Substitution requests typically get back the same business day.
